The Summer Knight has been murdered and Harry has been hired by the Winter Queen to find out by who. If I explain that would be a major spoiler.

This episode introduces us to Fae politics, the summer and winter courts, major players. We meet a lot of new people, are reacquainted with old friends and meet a past love of Harry.

Murphy is still traumatized by the psychic attack from the last book, Harry needs her help, and she sets aside her pain to help him. He gets help from other friends, while he is the major power here, teamwork plays a large part in getting the job done.

He still is having problems with the White Counsel, in particular Morgan. We meet some of the members and learn more about Harry’s past.

While the Vampires are mentioned, they are not major players in Harry’s life at this moment.

It was interesting finding out about the world of the Fae and how Harry is involved in them. I give this book 3 stars also.

I got the name Bella because my grandfather called me Suzabell. I use that as a username and my friends on the site started calling me Bella. The fish and coconut are so serious I carry an Epi-pen and wear a Medic-Alert bracelet. And last but not least. I love the Yankees.
