Although I ‘know’ all these cases, I have not done much reading on them. I prefer to read about less known cases. This made this a very interesting book for me. Also it is very informative book, John Douglas has ‘done the research’ on these cases and presents the facts as known.

In some cases he also reports what was ‘known’ or published in the papers.

He explains why these cases are still so well know even today, even though some of them were over a century ago. He details mistakes in the investigations and subjects them to modern profiling. He tells us what kind of man Jack the Ripper was. Did Lizzie Borden really kill her parents? Did Bruno act alone? All the questions that people ask about these cases.

I found this book to be very informative, interesting and would recommend it to True Crime fans.

I got the name Bella because my grandfather called me Suzabell. I use that as a username and my friends on the site started calling me Bella. I am allergic to practically everything: grass, trees, weeds, animal dander, dust, mold, wheat, apples, nuts, fish and coconut. The fish and coconut are so serious I carry an Epi-pen and wear a Medic-Alert bracelet. And last but not least. I love the Yankees.

    Have you seen this movie about the Boston Strangler? I find it to be more accurate than the others.

    Have you heard of the Pantyhose murders? I’m studying criminal psychology and was told that they are going to make a movie on this true crime event. I understand that the victims were all college girls and the killer would only target girls in short mini skirts and pantyhose. He would suffocate them with a pillow or plastic bag several times over, one girl he suffocated for forty five minutes. Then after smothering the life out of his victims he would remove their pantyhose to keep as a trophy. Thanks Sandra
